As part of the London Design Festival performance duo Sonnie Carlebach and Ushara Dilrukshan prepare a new collaborative piece. These ‘open-studio’ days at Brompton Cemetery will take place every day during London Design Festival (13 - 21 September), culminating in a final showing on Saturday 20 September.
The Kensington Gardens team will be relocating the ginkgo tree that has formed the centrepiece of this year’s Serpentine Gallery Pavilion build. The ginkgo was sourced for the gallery by our Head of Horticulture Matt Pottage and pavilion designer, Marina Tabassum. It will be relocated to its new home in the South Flower Walk in late October.
The Richmond Park team is starting works to enhance Spankers Hill Wood, removing trees that are declining due to environmental stress and making space for replanting with a mix of new tree and scrub species that are more resilient to disease and climate change.
