You're invited to join colleagues from across Brown for a collaborative day focused on strengthening community-engaged teaching and research.
Whether you're launching a new partnership, deepening existing community relationships or looking to connect with others doing this work, the retreat offers dedicated time to exchange ideas, make new connections and explore resources that can help move your work forward.
Together, participants will:
Build relationships with faculty members, staff and scholars engaged in or exploring community-engaged teaching and research.
Share strategies for creating equitable, reciprocal partnerships that respond to today's opportunities and challenges.
Discover funding, programs and campus resources that support community-engaged scholarship.
Learn from colleagues and community partners through interactive discussions and collaborative activities.
The retreat is open to Brown faculty members, postdoctoral associates, visiting scholars and staff involved in community-engaged teaching or research.
Coffee, tea and lunch will be provided.
Space is limited, so registration is required. Registration closes Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.
