A life-saving transplant in 2024 to treat Karen's multiple myeloma cancer unfortunately eliminated her lifelong vaccine antibodies. This leaves her unable to receive certain vaccines and therefore vulnerable to deadly diseases such as tetanus, polio, and measles.

Karen turns to The Task Force for Global Health’s Voices for Vaccines (VFV) program to help people understand the critical impact their health choices can have on others. VFV’s blogs, podcasts and toolkits help her share crucial vaccine information to lower her chances of falling ill.
