These days, it feels like every single brand is in your inbox asking if you want to opt out of sensitive occasions. Which should feel like a step in the right direction - but it’s unfortunately backfired. Typical "opt-out" emails often create an impersonal "On/Off" experience rather than an empathetic, thoughtful filter.
As a greeting card marketplace, we have a dilemma. Unlike a lot of brands, we have to talk about Father’s Day. Which means we need to offer an opt out. So, to opt out of Father’s Day marketing, or update any occasion preferences, please click below. |

We’d also love to hear your suggestions on how we can improve our opt-out messaging ahead of sensitive occasions.
Our current method of reminding you to update your preferences ahead of an occasion (without mentioning the occasion itself) is designed to be vague enough to not trigger you. But it’s also vague enough that a lot of customers miss it entirely. You can imagine the upset that causes them, and us.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. We really appreciate hearing your feedback. |
And of course, Best wishes, |
