With over 62 pubs across London and surrounds (read: Surrey, Bath and Somerset), the Metropolitan Pub Company has a pretty tall order of pubs on its roster. And what could be better than dining in a gorgeous pub? The grub.
Introducing its brand-new Prix Fixe menu, where you'll have the choice of two or three courses, served up mid-week from Monday to Thursday between 3pm and 8pm in selected pubs. Just be sure to visit soon, as the menu is refreshed regularly and you won't want to miss what they've got right now.
Considered a ‘late lunch or an early dinner', a Prix Fixe menu is ideal for those who want to take the thinking out of weekday dining and instead, want to sit back, unwind and let the chef's talents do the talking. And you can enjoy that and more with this stellar menu.
Let's kick things off with the starters. Consider yourself an appreciator of the classics? Opt for the luxury pork pie with authentic Branston pickle. Enjoy a taste of the ocean? Go for the spicy whitebait with homemade tartar sauce. Veggie lover? The roast beets with wild garlic, labneh and lovage pesto will steal your heart.
Moving onto mains, there's the vibrant king prawn linguine, or the bold fried mushroom ve-de-ya pizza (topped with superstraccia and basil pesto). Our pick? Try the chicken chasseur – complete with indulgent roast garlic mash and cavolo nero.
Round it all off with a stunning dessert and you're good to go. Choose from the extra luscious peach melba crumble, the silkiest coffee panna cotta or the uber-decadent double chocolate and banana brownie and banana split ice cream.
