Hi Andy,
Rising impressions and clicks, paired with lower ad costs, mean marketers are achieving stronger performance without higher spend, signaling a new era of efficiency. Tinuiti’s Q3 2025 Digital Ads Benchmark Report features nearly 50 charts analyzing performance trends across social, search, video, and display. Here are four of the most important shifts (and what advertisers can do about them).
1. Amazon’s Google Shopping exit gives competitors a boost. Amazon paused its Shopping ads in July and remains offline in the U.S., allowing other shopping advertisers to capture more clicks at a lower CPC.
→ Capitalize on lower competition by testing new Shopping campaigns and expanding product coverage.
2. Amazon Sponsored Products clicks surge 31% YoY. Despite pulling back from Google Shopping, Amazon’s own ad clicks hit their fastest growth rate since 2020.
→ Lean into Amazon’s native ad formats to reach high-intent shoppers directly on-platform.
3. TikTok’s Smart+ campaigns are driving major adoption. AI-powered Smart+ campaigns now account for 42% of TikTok performance spend, up from just 9% in Q1.
→ Experiment with Smart+ to automate creative testing and optimize campaign efficiency.
4. YouTube Shorts viewership shifts to the big screen. TVs now account for nearly half of Shorts ad spend and 65% of total YouTube video spend.
→ Adapt creative for TV viewing. Shorter storytelling and bold visuals perform best.
