Hi Email,

We're already huge fans of Ethiopian coffees, so when we get a rare variety like Wush Wush (which amplifies the candy-fruit flavors even more) we get super excited—and you will too!

Wush Wush is a rare heirloom coffee native to southwest Ethiopia, known for its intense fruit-forward profile, floral aromatics, and tea-like finish—and it also requires highly specific, high-altitude growing conditions.

This specific anaerobic natural Ethiopia Kerchache Wush Wush comes from San Diego's Steady State roasters. It's taken through an extended fermentation at the Kerchache Mill before being dried as a natural process—resulting in notes of peach gummy candy, floral aromatics, berries, and super sweet milk chocolate.

Fun Fact: Steady State has gotten this coffee for a few years now—and in each harvest, the extended fermentation causes it to yield a much less consistent color from bean to bean. Don't worry! That mismatched coloring is expected with this coffee, and the coffee extracts beautifully, and tastes delicious.
