Email,

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the incredible work happening across our communities and industries, and one thing remains clear: many of the people creating meaningful change don’t always receive the recognition they deserve.

That’s why I created the NAACP Advancement List.

If you missed my email last week, I’m sharing it again below. Early submissions close on June 22, and with the deadline approaching, I hope you’ll take a moment to consider applying or nominating someone whose impact should be celebrated.

Email,

Across every industry, Black leaders are driving innovation, creating opportunity, and shaping the future. Their work strengthens communities, transforms institutions, and expands what is possible for generations to come.

Today, the NAACP launched The Advancement List, a new national recognition program celebrating professionals who are advancing excellence, equity, and impact across their fields.

  • And more
These are the innovators, changemakers, executives, entrepreneurs, advocates, and rising leaders who are helping build a stronger future while creating opportunities for others along the way.

Whether you’re making an impact in your profession, community, or industry—or know someone whose work deserves recognition—we encourage you to submit an application. Black excellence is not emerging; it is leading. Share this opportunity with colleagues, peers, and trailblazers whose work deserves recognition. We look forward to celebrating those who are helping move us all forward.
Forward Together,
