Children in Lebanon continue to face the consequences of ongoing violence. Since March, attacks have killed or injured more than 770 children. Over 1.1 million people, including nearly 400,000 children, have fled their homes, many for the second, third or even fourth time.

While a ceasefire is currently in effect, conditions for children remain unstable. Many families find themselves navigating active risk and displacement while coping with profound loss.

Across the country, UNICEF and partners are delivering health care services, safe water, nutrition and essential supplies to families in shelters, along with sports and recreational activities to help children reestablish routines and heal through play. These activities support children’s well-being by helping them connect with others as they begin to process the trauma they’ve experienced.

UNICEF requires $48.3 million over three months to reach 1 million people with aid. Right now, there is a 69% funding gap — without immediate additional funding, these critical services for children and families will be at risk.
