TAKE ACTION

You recently took action with the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS). Thank you again for strengthening our campaigns and joining a vibrant community of more than half a million people putting science into action day after day. As the Trump administration ramps up its attacks on science, environmental protections, and public health, we need our movement to be the strongest it's ever been.

In these alarming times, there will be days when you have two minutes to take action and days when you want to go deeper to support science. That's why we built the Climate Action Button. Give it a try!

The Climate Action Button. Do Something.

Try the Climate Action Button

The Climate Action Button routinely suggests actions you can take to help protect science, fight for climate action, and hold policymakers and corporate polluters accountable. Together we must act to protect our communities, especially low-income communities and Black, Indigenous, Latine, and other communities of color who are hit the hardest by corporate pollution and climate change. Our advocacy is especially important as we face the most anti-science, pro-polluter administration in modern history.

Want something easier to do, harder to do, or similar in effort but just a little different? We've got you! Simply click one of the buttons on the website to cycle through other actions you can take.

Whenever you're feeling inspired, or angry, or just generally fired up about the lack of action to protect our planet and our environment, you can always press the Climate Action Button and do something about it.

Our mission is to put rigorous, independent science into action, develop solutions, and advocate for a healthy, safe, and just future. As our name suggests, some of our half-a-million supporters are scientists—renowned climatologists, public health specialists, physicists, engineers, and other experts. But most are people, like me, who are simply committed to building a healthy, safe, and just future. Regardless of your background, we welcome you to the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Thanks again for joining UCS to use science to make change happen. Our members taking action with us is essential to achieving our goals. More to come!
