Before members of Congress pack their bags and head home for the month of August, they are considering legislation that would directly threaten our health, our wallets and our environment.  

This is our final window of opportunity before the August Recess to demand that our elected officials put people over special interests. 

We need you to raise your voice on three crucial issues:

Extremists in Congress are trying to dismantle the Toxic Substances Control Act — our country's bedrock chemical safety law. Weakening these protections would let chemical companies fast-track dangerous substances, including PFAS and other “forever chemicals,” into our homes and everyday products without a proper safety review. Lawmakers must put our health before corporate profits.

As electricity bills increase, the Trump administration continues to block affordable, reliable clean energy projects like wind, solar and battery storage. The Energy Bills Relief Act would reverse these blocks, restore vital clean energy tax credits, and provide direct household energy assistance to millions.

All eyes are on the Senate as they continue debate over the House of Representatives' farm bill. Their inadequate bill cuts nearly $2 billion from popular and oversubscribed conservation programs that are critical to protecting natural resources and maintaining a resilient food system. We must urge the Senate to pass a bill that fully invests in soil health, climate-smart agriculture and rural communities.
