Hi friend,

The plastics industry is rebranding inefficient, dirty incineration as a solution to the plastic pollution crisis. They call it “advanced recycling,” but it’s really burning waste plastic — and it puts us all at risk.

Now, the plastics industry is trying to dodge Clean Air Act protections so they can operate without pollution limits!

We deserve to be protected against the toxic, harmful pollution that comes from burning plastics. Send a message before tonight’s deadline urging EPA to keep these clean air protections in place!

Thank you for being part of our movement,

Hi friend,

The plastics industry calls it “advanced recycling,” but we see it for what it is: a marketing gimmick to greenwash toxic pollution that puts us all at risk.

“Advanced recycling” doesn’t recycle anything. Instead, plastic trash is burned, creating harmful air pollution and oil that is contaminated with PFAS, flame retardants and dioxins. And the health impacts are staggering. This pollution is linked to cancer, brain damage and other serious health problems.

Now the Trump EPA wants to let these waste plastic incinerators sidestep the Clean Air Act and operate without pollution controls.

Help push back by submitting a public comment before next week’s deadline!

The chemical industry, including plastics manufacturers, wants to weaken the clean air protections that apply to their “advanced recycling” facilities. And now they’ve found a sneaky way to do so.

By removing these facilities from Clean Air Act’s regulations, these plants would be able to ignore the clean air laws requiring them to limit their pollution. But we have an opportunity to push back.

Before the EPA can reclassify these facilities, they must hear from stakeholders like you. Don’t miss this chance to raise your voice by submitting a public comment today!
