Over 40% of the global population lives in areas that are highly vulnerable to weather extremes. From the Central American Dry Corridor to South Sudan to Afghanistan, natural disasters are driving millions of people across the world to the brink of starvation.
In the immediate aftermath of climate-related disasters, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) saves lives by providing food to people in the most remote locations. At the same time, we help communities:
