I’m back in Greenville, South Carolina now, feet on the porch, breathing deep. Birds, crickets, a friday lawnmower, the backyard orchestra of home after five weeks in Japan. I never would’ve paused like that before, always too afraid of falling behind. Starting Wimp has been about trying another pace. The company’s still small, not even paying Liam or me yet, every cent goes right back into the biz. But the hope is clear: that this little thing could one day support our families. Maybe even be a place where my kids could work.
Behind the scenes at Wimp, we’re looking into pre-ground coffee, maybe pods or single-serve packs for those of you who are convenience oriented. We’re building a blogging engine for organic traffic, and searching for partners who love decaf loud enough to share it. It’s a lot. But when we take it one thing at a time, the bigger picture starts to appear, like the ocean framed in that circle of concrete.
