Welcome to the jungle, where it has been raining nonstop for the last week (or possibly for my entire life). I can’t remember. I lose track. That’s how ADHD works. I can usually remember the negative things that have been happening, and they feel like they’ve been happening forever. If you can’t relate, then congratulations, you get cake, and my eyerolls.
This is one of those weeks where checking out and moving to a cabin in the woods is the fantasy of the day. I have an à la carte menu of fantasy options to choose from on any given week. There’s the fantasy that I can do so many things and I’m unstoppable. The fantasy that I need to get out from underneath everything I have going on, and moving to said cabin in the woods. The fantasy that other people need to change, and then everything will be okay. The fantasy that somehow I need to change myself, and then everything will be okay. Basically all fantasies end with "and then everything will be ok", which is a euphemism for my nervous system shutting-the-fuck-up.
No matter what, though, never ever, at all costs, decide to just sit in the present moment and feel what you feel, because holy shit, that would be impossibly dangerous and definitely lead to overwhelming feelings that are likely to kill you. Basically, my brain thinks feelings are an escaped prisoner on the loose, ready to murder me and my family.
Which is rude, honestly. You’d think after a decade my brain would at least offer a punch card and I would get discounts for good behavior. But here we are. Rain outside. Storms inside. Me, trying very hard not to solve my entire life before lunch.
This is decaf. Not being chill. Not doing it right. Just being a goof of a person, in the mix. It involves a lot of shrugging.
Have a great week y'all, or you know, don't, but as always let me know, cuz I love hearing from you. Also share Wimp because if you don't it may ruin our chances at world peace. I dunno. That's what I heard on social, so it's probably true.
