Can you believe this is a butterfly wing? Zoomed in about a bajillion times, it looks like tiny stained glass tiles, arranged by a fairy with a flair for pixel art.
I watched the video three times in a row, jaw slack, completely pulled out of my to-do list brain and solidly into kid-brain
wonder.
When wonder hits me, I remember again how good it feels, and how much I need it.
It reminded me why we started Wimp. This world is loud. There’s a gadget for everything. A tracker for your REM sleep, your steps, your cortisol, your focus minutes, your breathing patterns, bodily cycles, and anything else we can measure. I think we'd all like to be healthy, but somewhere along the way “better” we got hijacked by “optimized,” and now we’re all just spreadsheets in sneakers.
Let's grind decaf, not ourselves. Let's pause, not panic. Stare out a window. Wonder about something. You’re not behind, you’re alive! What a gift.

A Product / It's getting hot. Need a new fan?: 3D printing is wildly cool, and what this small team has put together is more than a cool down, it's taking an object that's often very utilitarian and making it absolutely beautiful. Interesting take! What do you think?

An Account / The Dad Briefs This fella is someone I would enjoy reading me bed time stories. He's so calm and reasonable. While teaching great little life hacks he instills wisdom about our political world that I really appreciate.

A Photo Thing / The polar bears are moving in!: I'm not sure I'd want a polar bear for a roommate, but these photos of them occupying an arctic weather station home sort of cute, and sort of stunning. Somewhere in between.

A Human Thing / Michiganders are built different: Dunno about you, but any chance I get to see Americans actually acting as a community, and not all for number one (themselves), I can take a deep breath and feel like maybe we're going to be ok. This was one of those moments when a community helped move 9100 books, by hand a few blocks. Very cool.

A Laugh / Tooty toot toot 💨: When everything seems like it's on fire there's nothing left to do but laugh at bodily functions. I'm quite happy to have added this account to my feed. I don't check Instagram often, but I love when I get to snicker at these.

An unreal delicious lightroast coffee using Wilton Benitez’s thermal shock process—two rounds of fermentation, sterilization, and rinsing—plus all natural sugarcane EA decaffeination for vibrant flavor.
"I've tried several decafs and they were never able to reach the flavor of specialty coffees... I was shocked by the lovely flavor profile of this coffee. It's the first decaf I've drank and enjoyed fully black."
