The past two weeks have been a bit cuckoo—I flew out to San Francisco, which was lovely in that Bay Area way, but also reminded me that I don’t work and travel very well, you know... airplane brain.
One thing that did ground me was stumbling across Darby Hudson’s Instagram. He’s been sharing these breathtaking quotes from his late mum—simple, sideways, magical lines like
“Darby, love, I’m struggling to fit this one life into this one life.” It’s the kind of thing that makes you want to cry, laugh, and hug your pets. His book
Darby, Love… is a collection of that wonder, and it’s become my favorite thing on the internet lately. You can also find him on
Instagram.

A Product / Old folks collectable cards? Yes please: In the small town of Kawara in Fukuoka Prefecture they've got competition for Pokemon cards. They've got old man cards and you need to see this to believe it.

A New Truck? / A refreshingly affordable Electric Truck
I'm sure you've seen some writeups about Slate by now, but wow this company is interesting. I love how the CEO has such strong midwestern mom vibes. This is the opposite of the *other* EV company's truck ?

A weird / Eminem rhymes the shit out of orange: I've been a bit obsessed watching videos about Eminem recently. That dude is inspiring. He was on 60 minutes dropping some serious dictionary knowledge and rhyming the unrhymeable.

A cute / Need cute animals? Try this.: I didn't know how badly I needed an orangutan taking care of Tiger cubs. Now I feel like this might be my new medicine. Take 5 minutes nightly and then go to bed young man!

A weird / A Eurovision song you need:
My friend Phillip sent this to me this week and I was bewildered, kind of enjoyed it, and laughed a lot. If you like comedy music, this is for you. Prepare thyself.

An unreal delicious lightroast coffee using Wilton Benitez’s thermal shock process—two rounds of fermentation, sterilization, and rinsing—plus all natural sugarcane EA decaffeination for vibrant flavor.
"I've tried several decafs and they were never able to reach the flavor of specialty coffees... I was shocked by the lovely flavor profile of this coffee. It's the first decaf I've drank and enjoyed fully black."
