Despite a 10-day temporary ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, intended to bring much-needed relief to people across Lebanon after a month and a half of intense and deadly conflict, fear has not lifted for many. The truce still feels fragile, and uncertainty about what comes next remains.
Even with this pause in place, on the ground conditions have remained extremely difficult. Airstrikes and missile exchanges have caused widespread damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, schools, health facilities and essential services.
Amid this devastation, people facing displacement continue to rely on humanitarian assistance for survival. Families urgently need clothing, food, hygiene items, personal care items and other essentials to get through each day. At the same time, they face growing risks of exploitation, violence and psychological distress — especially children and women.
