Urgent updated from Lebanon, watch the video.

Today, the situation in Lebanon remains dire, Email.

“This is the fifth time I have been displaced in my life. It’s harder when you’re with a family. You fear for your children more than yourself,” said Amir (name changed for protection). He’s a father who spoke with our trusted partner on the ground, MERATH Lebanon, during a visit to a public school that opened its doors to families facing displacement. He is among the 120 people who sought refuge there.

Across Lebanon, families like Amir’s — traumatized by weeks of violence — are still sleeping on the streets or in overcrowded public spaces, with limited access to basic services. Entire villages in the south have been destroyed, leaving over 1.2 million people displaced and unsure whether they will ever be able to return home — or whether there will still be homes to return to at all.

Despite a 10-day temporary ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, intended to bring much-needed relief to people across Lebanon after a month and a half of intense and deadly conflict, fear has not lifted for many. The truce still feels fragile, and uncertainty about what comes next remains.

Even with this pause in place, on the ground conditions have remained extremely difficult. Airstrikes and missile exchanges have caused widespread damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, schools, health facilities and essential services.

Amid this devastation, people facing displacement continue to rely on humanitarian assistance for survival. Families urgently need clothing, food, hygiene items, personal care items and other essentials to get through each day. At the same time, they face growing risks of exploitation, violence and psychological distress — especially children and women.

DONATE NOW TO HELP AT-RISK FAMILIES

Together with people like you, we're boldly engaging in this critical and worsening displacement crisis. Alongside three partners on the ground, we are working closely with churches and local organizations to reach families quickly and effectively. Thanks to our community of support, we have been able to provide immediate emergency assistance including blankets, mattresses and other essential items to families who have been forced to leave behind their homes and everything they own.

In moments like these, we must continue to remind those affected that they are not alone and have not been forgotten. They have endured more than anyone should have to bear. Together, we can help ease some of that weight.

Standing alongside all who are suffering,
