Dear Andy,
“I came back a different person. My mood changed rapidly. Anything sudden would set me off.”
That’s Army aviation veteran Bill Jones describing his experience with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Bill served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Like many of his fellow service members, he never had time to process the realities of war.
“You can’t deal with it, so you don’t,” says Bill. “You bury it. When you eventually come home, it all surfaces.”
Andy, when our country needed them, warriors like Bill were there for us. Now we must keep our promise to be here for them. Will you donate to Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) today to help veterans living with PTSD get the care and support they need?
We’re asking for 500 donors to give during PTSD Awareness Month to show our nation’s heroes they are not alone. |

Your generous gift helps provide critical mental health support for warriors through free, life-changing WWP® programs like Project Odyssey. The teambuilding approach of this outdoor, rehabilitative retreat gave Bill the confidence he needed to heal and move forward.
“WWP impacted my life exponentially,” he says. “I went from being very unstable to being able to overcome the triggers of PTSD and feeling empowered for a better life.”
Andy, we know PTSD can be treated effectively. And we’re working to make that treatment available to every warrior who needs it — but we can’t do it without you. Please make your best gift before PTSD Awareness Month ends. |
