In yesterday’s primaries in Texas, conservative voters showed enduring support for President Trump, while U.S. Rep. Al Green faced defeat in a newly drawn district.

In the GOP: Voters ousted Texas Sen. John Cornyn, once a top Republican leader, in favor of state Attorney General Ken Paxton, a conservative with MAGA ties whom Trump endorsed. Chemical tank explosion

At least one person has died, nine people were injured and nine employees remain unaccounted for after a large tank of chemical treatment product ruptured at a factory in Washington state. Recovery efforts remain “extremely complex,” a fire official said. [CNN]

Presidential physical

Trump had his third in-person doctor’s visit in a little over a year, in what the White House called a “routine” assessment, amid speculation about his health. “Everything checked out PERFECTLY,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. The president turns 80 next month. [Yahoo News]

Salmonella recall widens

Nationwide recalls have been issued for powdered beverage and dessert mix products and bottled ranch due to possible salmonella contamination. They’re the latest in a slew of recent recalls linked to milk powder supplied by California Dairies. [USA Today/Delish]

Canadian rapper Drake is dominating the Billboard 200: ICEMAN is his 15th No. 1 album, and he also holds the chart’s top three spots, with 12 albums on the ranking overall. He’s the first living artist to have 12 concurrently charting albums. [Billboard]
