Overview
Airship is a customer engagement platform for app, email and SMS messaging. The Email Love Figma plugin connects to your Airship project by API and exports the email you designed in Figma as a message template, named after the Figma frame.

What it does
- Creates a message template in Airship, named after the Figma frame.
- Works with Airship projects in the US and EU regions.
- Updates the same template when you export again with Enable Updatable Templates turned on.
- Lets you use the template in campaigns, automations and journeys.
How to export from Figma to Airship
In your Airship project settings, copy the App Key and Master Secret.
In the plugin, choose Airship, enter both, choose your region, name the connection and save it.
Turn on Enable Updatable Templates if you exported this frame before and want to update that template.
Select your email frame and click Export.
Find the template in Airship under Messages > Templates.
Email Love Builder and Airship
Email Love Builder exports to Airship too. Your marketers build emails from your approved components in the drag-and-drop editor, without opening Figma, and export them to the same Airship account.
Each component in the Builder is mapped to its Figma component, so your designers update it in Figma and re-sync it. See Email Love Builder.
Good to know
- Choose the region that matches your Airship project. Credentials for the wrong region are rejected.
- Add an Email Love Footer with an unsubscribe link before you export.

Can I update a Airship template after I export it?
Yes. Turn on Enable Updatable Templates and export the same Figma frame again. The plugin updates the template you exported before instead of creating a new one.
