Most email teams design in Figma, rebuild the email in their ESP, then argue about why it looks different. StreetEasy stopped doing that.
In this 47-minute session, Andy King (Email Love) and Jake Leffler (StreetEasy, part of Zillow) walk through the agentic email workflow StreetEasy runs today. A campaign brief goes into Claude. Claude uses Email Love’s skills and the Figma MCP to assemble the email from StreetEasy’s approved design system components. The team reviews and collaborates in Figma. Then the Email Love Figma plugin exports production-ready code straight into Iterable, Handlebars included. The AI never touches the HTML.
Jake builds a StreetEasy email live on the call, shows how he customized Email Love’s base skills for Iterable Handlebars, catalog lookups, listing cards, and Jira, and shares where he wants the workflow to go next.
What You’ll Learn
- Why the design, rebuild, re-review loop is the slowest part of email production
- The three things you need: an AI agent with Figma MCP access, Email Love’s Claude skills, and the Email Love Figma plugin
- The four free Email Love skills: build emails, audit existing templates, generate a full email design system, and ESP templating for Iterable Handlebars, Braze Liquid, and HubSpot HubL
- Why a solid email design system is the foundation (StreetEasy’s has around 80 components)
- How to keep the agent inside your approved components so dark mode, fonts, and layout never get guessed
- How to customize the skills for your own ESP, project management tools, and approval process
- Which model to use for email builds vs. generating a design system
Three Things to Take With You
The design system is the foundation, the AI agent never touches your code, and the plugin is what gets it into your ESP. The workflow runs on Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any AI agent that can connect to the Figma MCP.
