Iterable is a customer communication platform for email, push, SMS and in-app messages. The Email Love Figma plugin connects to your Iterable project by API and exports the email you designed in Figma as a template, a multi-language template or a snippet.

What it does
- Creates an email template in Iterable, under Content > Templates.
- Exports several languages as one template, with a locale for each language. Name each frame
Base name - localeand select them together. - Exports snippets, reusable pieces of content you can add to any Iterable template.
- Merges Iterable’s unsubscribe link into your footer automatically, and keeps merge tags such as
{{hostedUnsubscribeUrl}}.
How to export from Figma to Iterable
In Iterable, open Integrations > API Keys and create a server-side API key.
In the plugin, choose Iterable, paste the key, name it, pick US or EU and click Set API Key.
Select your email frame, or several language frames named
Base name - locale, and click Export to Iterable.Find the template in Iterable under Content > Templates.
Export from Email Love Builder to Iterable
Email Love Builder connects to Iterable too. Connect it once, then export any template from the editor as a new Iterable email template.
In Email Love Builder, go to Settings > Integrations, find Iterable and click Connect.
Select your Iterable data center (US or EU) and paste a server-side API key with email template permissions.
Open a template in the editor, click Export and choose Export to Iterable.
The template is created in your Iterable account as a draft, named after the Builder template.
Good to know
- Each language frame needs its own Email Love Footer with an unsubscribe link.
- Multi-language export works for email templates only, and only for Iterable’s side-by-side HTML templates. Add each locale in Iterable’s project settings first, or its export fails.
- Exporting a multi-language template again updates it by its base name, and exporting a snippet again overwrites it.
- Snippets use their own API connection, separate from templates.

Can I export emails from Figma to Iterable?

Can I export an Iterable template in several languages?
Yes. Name each language frame Base name - locale, select them together and export. The plugin creates one Iterable template with a locale for each language. Each locale must already exist in your Iterable project.
Does Email Love Builder work with Iterable?
Yes. Connect Iterable in Email Love Builder under Settings > Integrations, then export any template from the editor as a new Iterable email template.
Can I translate emails I export to Iterable?
Yes. Lokalise connects to Iterable, imports the template the plugin exported, translates the text and exports the locale versions back to Iterable.
