From Figma to Blueshift with One Click
Remember the telephone game? One person whispers a phrase, it passes through ten people, and by the end “purple elephant” has become “hurdle excellent.”
That’s what happens to most email designs.
A designer creates something polished in Figma. They hand it off to a developer or marketer who rebuilds it in the ESP. Along the way, the hero image gets compressed. The button padding gets eyeballed. The mobile layout is “close enough.” By the time it reaches the inbox, it’s been through so many interpretations that it barely resembles what was approved.
Stop playing telephone with your email designs.
The Email Love Figma Plugin now integrates directly with Blueshift.
What If the Design Just… Stayed the Design?
That’s the whole idea. You design your email in Figma using Email Love components. When it’s ready, you click export. The plugin generates responsive HTML, hosts your images, and pushes everything directly to your Blueshift account via API.
What lands in Blueshift is the email. Not a reference file. Not a starting point for someone to rebuild. The actual, production-ready email—exactly as it was designed.
No whisper chain. No interpretation. No “close enough.”
Where the Distortion Usually Happens
Every handoff is a chance for the design to drift.
Figma to developer: “Can you match this mockup?” Developer rebuilds it manually, makes their best guesses on spacing, moves on.
Developer to ESP: HTML gets pasted in, images get re-uploaded, something breaks in the editor and gets “fixed” with a workaround.
ESP to inbox: Turns out the code wasn’t tested in Outlook. Some of your subscribers see a broken layout.
Each step introduces small compromises. None of them feel like a big deal in the moment. But they stack up—and the email that ships is three or four degrees removed from what was designed.
The plugin collapses all of this into a single step. Figma to Blueshift, directly, with nothing lost in between.
What Transfers (All of It)
When you export to Blueshift, you get:
The exact layout. Spacing, alignment, responsive behavior—all preserved. The code is built on MJML, so it renders correctly across email clients without extra QA.
Hosted images. Every image uploads to our CDN automatically. No manual asset management.
Working personalization. Merge tags like {{user.first_name}} pass through as-is. Blueshift’s unsubscribe link gets swapped in automatically. Dynamic liquid language even works as intended.
Dark mode support. Preview and customize how your email renders in dark mode before you export.
Why It Matters Beyond Speed
Yes, it’s faster. But the real shift is about accuracy.
When designers know their work will ship exactly as created, they design with more intention. When marketers don’t have to rebuild, they stop making “just this once” compromises. When the handoff disappears, so does the drift.
Your emails start looking like your brand again—not a slightly-off version that’s been through the telephone game one too many times.
