Olympics emails borrow the games’ energy for a two-week global moment: athlete stories, team pride, and gold-themed offers. This hub curates real sends from the 2024 games, from The North Face to the Olympics’ own newsletter.
Data from 750+ marketers
An Olympics email ties the brand to the games, and the 2024 sends in this hub show the honest range: athlete storytelling (The North Face's climbing coverage), fandom service (the epic Team USA vs France final), and lightweight theming ("Drink like an Olympian", "Flavor fit for the gold"). The moment is global, emotional, and strictly time-boxed, which makes it a natural excuse for a themed send even from brands far from sport.
The legal line matters here more than most moments: the rings, the word Olympic in product claims, and athlete likenesses are heavily protected, so the smart sends theme around gold, records, and national pride instead. Timing inside the two-week window is everything; the audience moves on the day the flame goes out. For the broader genre, browse our event email examples.

Yes, carefully. The rings, official marks, and direct Olympic claims are protected, so non-sponsors theme around gold, medals, records, and national pride. The examples in this hub mostly take that route: the vibe of the games without the trademarks.
Athlete and achievement storytelling if the brand has a real connection, viewing-party angles for food and drink, and gold or podium theming for everyone else. Specific moments (a final, a record) beat generic sport imagery because they prove the send is live.
Inside the games window, ideally pegged to a moment: opening ceremony, a marquee final, or the medal count. Interest decays to zero within days of the closing ceremony, so this is a send-it-now genre with no long tail.
Effectively every two years, alternating summer and winter games. Programs that performed well in one cycle keep the template and refresh the moment; the structure of a good games send barely changes.
