I’ve been thinking about launching an affiliate program for the Email Love Figma Plugin for a while now.

The case for it is obvious. But I kept hesitating because most affiliate programs feel gross. You know the ones—someone sends you a link to a tool they’ve clearly never opened, they’ve copied the exact marketing copy from the website, and you can tell they’re just chasing a commission.

I didn’t want to build that.

But then I noticed something. A lot of you are already recommending the plugin to your clients, your teams, and your audience. Not because I asked you to. Because it actually solves a problem.

Which made me realize: why am I not paying you for that?

So here we are.

Here’s What We’re Offering

40% commission on every sale you refer. For the life of the customer.

When I say “for life,” I mean it. As long as that customer stays subscribed, you keep earning.

Let me give you actual numbers because “lifetime commission” sounds like marketing speak even when it’s true.

If you refer someone who subscribes to the Growth plan at $35/month, you earn $14 every single month they stay with us. Not just the first month. Every month.

They stick around for a year? That’s $168 from one referral.

Two years? $336.

Five years? You get the idea.

This isn’t a one-time payout. It’s recurring income that compounds as you refer more customers.

Who This Is For

I’m not trying to recruit hundreds of affiliates. I want a small group of people who actually believe in what we’re building.

You’re probably a good fit if you’re:

• An email marketing consultant or freelancer
• A content creator covering email, design, or marketing
• A designer who works with marketing teams
• An agency owner who recommends tools to clients
• Someone whose audience already asks for tool recommendations

Marketing assets (if you want them) Email swipes, social graphics, banner ads, demo accounts—we’ll give you everything. But your authentic take on why the plugin works will always perform better than our pre-written copy. Use the assets as a starting point, but make it your own.

Direct access to us You’re working with me and Matt directly. No affiliate support team to go through. Want to collaborate on a tutorial video? Co-write a blog post? Have questions about the product? Just reach out.

Monthly payouts Gumroad handles payments. As long as you hit $25 (their minimum, not ours), you get paid every month.

How It Works

Step 1: Apply Go to emaillove.com/figma-plugin/affiliate and fill out the application. Takes about two minutes. Tell us who you are, who your audience is, and why you think they’d benefit from the plugin.

Step 2: Get approved I review every application personally. We’re not looking for massive follower counts. We’re looking for people whose audience actually needs what we’ve built.

Step 3: Start promoting Once approved, you get your link and can share it however makes sense for you. Newsletter, YouTube video, client recommendation, social post—whatever works.

Why Now?

The plugin is at the point where it’s genuinely helping teams save hours every week on email production. We’ve got thousands of users and hundreds of paying customers. The feedback has been consistently strong.

But most people still don’t know we exist.

I can only create so much content myself. And I know many of you are already talking about email tools, recommending solutions to clients, or creating content for designers and marketers.

The Rules

I need to be clear about a few things:

Be honest. If you wouldn’t actually use the plugin, don’t promote it. I’d rather have no sale than a customer who doesn’t fit and churns in a month.

Don’t spam. If you’re blasting affiliate links everywhere with no context, I’ll shut down your account. Don’t be that person.

No shady tactics. Don’t lie about what the plugin does. Don’t make up discounts. Don’t claim you use it if you don’t. Basic ethical behavior.
