Email Inspiration from Diaspora

Diaspora Spice Co. are on a mission to drive awareness for the South Asian culture through food and spices. But they have a few challenges… their spices aren’t cheap and they’re pitted against mass spice producers that line the shelves of every grocery store.

Every single one of their emails uses the opportunity to educate and provide some level of transparency around who they are, why they do it, and why you should care.

This email is a wonderful example of providing a point of education. Especially for folks who are interested in cooking and leveling up their spice cupboard, but don’t know who/where to turn. Diaspora has so skillfully written a wonderful story of the history of the spice, what’s in it—and helped the reader understand where to use the spice they’re promoting.

You don’t get this level of transparency and authority with every brand.
