Adobe Marketo Engage is Adobe’s marketing automation platform. The Email Love Figma plugin connects to your Marketo instance by API and exports the email you designed in Figma as an email template in Design Studio.

What it does
- Creates an email template in Marketo Design Studio.
- Keeps text and image areas editable in Marketo while the layout stays locked. This needs Email Love components.
- Links to the new template in Marketo when the upload finishes.
- Updates the same template when you export again with Enable Updatable Templates turned on.
How to export from Figma to Adobe Marketo Engage
In Marketo, copy the REST API endpoint from Admin > Web Services.
Create a role with Read-Write Assets, an API-only user and a custom LaunchPoint service, then copy its client ID and client secret.
In the plugin, choose Marketo, paste the three values and test the connection.
Click Upload to Marketo.
In Design Studio > Email Templates, open the template and click Approve and Close.
Export from Email Love Builder to Marketo
Email Love Builder connects to Marketo too. Connect it once, choose a default folder, then export any template from the editor.
In Email Love Builder, go to Settings > Integrations, find Marketo and click Connect.
Enter your Munchkin ID, and the client ID and client secret from a LaunchPoint API service, then choose a default folder.
Open a template in the editor, click Export and choose Export to Marketo.
The template is created as a draft in your default folder. If the name is already taken, a timestamp is added to it.
Good to know
- Approve each template in Design Studio before you use it in an email.
- Add an Email Love Footer with an unsubscribe link before you export.
