Salesforce Marketing Cloud is Salesforce’s platform for email and cross-channel marketing. The Email Love Figma plugin connects to your Marketing Cloud account through an installed package and exports the email you designed in Figma to Content Builder.

What it does
- Exports your email to Content Builder by API.
- Adds Content Builder slots, if you turn them on, so you can drop content blocks into the email inside Marketing Cloud.
- Adds alias attributes to buttons, images, social icons and navigation links, named after your Figma layers.
- Marks every link as a conversion link, if you turn on conversion tags.
- Wraps rows, wrappers and heroes in impression regions named after their layers, if you turn on impression tags.
How to export from Figma to Salesforce Marketing Cloud
In Marketing Cloud, create an installed package with enhanced package functionality.
Add a server-to-server API integration component, with Emails, Documents and Images, and Saved Content set to read and write.
In the plugin, paste the client ID, client secret and REST base URL, name the connection and test it.
Turn on Content Slots, alias, conversion or impression tags if you need them.
Select your email frame and export to Marketing Cloud.
Email Love Builder and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Email Love Builder exports to Salesforce Marketing Cloud too. Your marketers build emails from your approved components in the drag-and-drop editor, without opening Figma, and export them to the same Salesforce Marketing Cloud account.
Each component in the Builder is mapped to its Figma component, so your designers update it in Figma and re-sync it. See Email Love Builder.
Good to know
- Marketing Cloud does not let you remove an API integration component once you add it.
- Add an Email Love Footer with an unsubscribe link before you export.
